Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in full red morocco with the armorial super-ex-libris William Stirling Maxwell stamped in blind onto the upper cover and the monogram of the same stamped onto the lower cover. The title is stamped in gilt onto the spine. Stirling's bookplate is present on the front pastedown, and the bookplate of the BPL is present on the recto of the front free endpaper. Leonard Baskin's Lurley Manor book tag is present on the verso of the front free endpaper. A slip with an inscription related to the cyphers described within the text is tipped-onto the recto of the final front flyleaf.
